Prehistoric and medieval complex – Dyadovo settlement mound.
The settlement mound is situated southwest to the village of Dyadovo, Nova Zagora municipality, west to the road from Nova Zagora to Radnevo. The mound is one of the largest in Europe.
This is the only prehistoric monument in Bulgaria providing information about urbanisation development in Thrace during III - II millennia A.D. Here, a unique system of pits from the Middle Bronze Age has been discovered. In many respects, the settlement mound repeats the urban plan of the ancient legendary Troy.
We have performed a rescue conservation of a fragment from the northern wall of the fortress. A fine cover was posed and conservation of an important stratigraphic profile was made.
The Dyadovo settlement mound is a cultural heritage asset of national importance.
