Nearly fifty people attended the second edition of the “Plasma cleaning and innovative self-diagnostic protective coatings for conservation” workshop on 9th and 10th June. Hosted this time at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, the seminar brought together restorers, researchers, architects, conservation students and professors, policy makers, and others, interested in the latest technological advances for preserving cultural heritage. The workshop’s demo sessions arouse great interest among the participants, who had the opportunity to test PANNA’s plasma torch prototype on degradation layers removal from stone and metal artifacts.
The workshop will be held on 2nd and 3rd September in Berlin and 8th and 9th September in Antwerp. The details for these events will be published on the project's website in the following weeks, so stay tuned.
